I lost my cell#. which is my main and only number. So I was devastated for a moment because my customer doesn't have any way to contact me other than by email.

At first I was going to get a skype #.... It's affordable. But since I'm planning to be mobile soon and very often... I decided to look for 800#... then I ran into www.ringcentral.com They are perfect for me and heaven sent. I purchase a 800# for $24.95 per month and gives me five extensions and I can record my own messages and what I really like the most, is the ability to create voice advertisement while my customer or callers are waiting to get connected or routed to the proper extension. Isn't that just soooo cooool!!!!!

But the main reason my I purchase www.ringcentral.com is because I had a customer who needed to fax some document to me and I didn't have a fax machine and my ex who had the fax machine wouldn't give me my faxes. and Lo and Behold... ringcentral.com gives your customer the option to fax.... I can receive faxes via email... as PDF files.... wow!!!!.... 10 thumbs up for www.ringcentral.com They make my communication the bomb!

Vista Print Postcards

Since I lost my domain name and cell#, I'm force to redo- and reprint all of my marketing materials. 'Till then I'm limited or feel limited to promote my business or gain new account unless its a referral. I'm going to need:

1. Business Cards with my #800 :)
2. 4x6 Postcards from Vista Print - and by the way my friends I don't know if anybody figured this out about Vista Print, They offer 100 4x6 postcards for FREE. Full color on one side and I leave my backside blanks. Now, what I do is... Since they only charge $4.95 for shipping and handling and you get 100 FREE postcards, I upload my own design and I just pay for the shipping and handling. What a great deal!!!! I never order more than 100 postcards. and you can keep re-ordering the free postcards. I usually order 100 per week. You should only do this with your general postcards. They are perfect and economical and a must have for any businesses. Plus I like to order multiple postcards with multiple ads. So this way I have many to choose from. Like I have a postcards just for offering Business Cards, and another one for Graphics Design, and another one for Webdesign, and another one for photography. I can't afford to order in bulk with all these type of postcards... my batery is dying... got to go... and blog later.

New Domain

Just moved to a new place off Vineville and I'm lovin it. My new place is quite larger than my previous apartment. Plus I'm on a nicer neighborhood so I could start my morning walk daily and take care of this beautiful bod once and for all and prepare for a great winter to come.

I spent over a week just moving things and redecorating my living room. I didn't have a dining set on the old place and I'm seriously thingking about getting a nice round table set for our new place. My daughter was quite helpful including her gay friend Kelsey. He just so bubbly and sweet. I'm posting pictures of my new place soon.

All Eyes on Egypt Bookstore

I've been working on a site called "All Eyes on Eygpt Bookstore". It's an online bookstore. This is probably one of my favorite project because they basically giving me the freedom on the design concept. What I've done so far is, I have included everything I've learned this year, which is not much, But I do like the youtube section I've included. and I found this great java script code for adding a music playlist on the site. SOS Women Network Brochure

I finally completed my work for today... but many more I need to accomplish tomorrow.

They only gave me couple of pictures for this brochure. The Director's photo and the assistant director's photo. and then she said pull information out of their website and create them a brochure. I hope they like it and I hope they don't have a lot of corrections or I'm charging them an arm and a leg :)

I think I went way over the budget today on eating out. In the morning I ate a breakfast sandwich at Panera Bread with coffee. Then a couple of hours later, I headed to Joshua cup to do more work and had a yogart and bottle water. Then I headed to Subway, but I didn't buy anything to eat. I was suppose to meet Cornelia because she had to give me some paper work for more projects. But I end up walking to where she was at which was at her job with the Georgia Informer. and ofcourse she was taking some time to get the materials ready. She had to check her email and blah blah blah. Then finally I got everything I needed from her today and end up in the lobby of the Georgia Informer's office and end up watching a 5 minutes documentary about prostitution and their hook on drugs that Mr. Dennard and Charles put together for their client. It was actually pretty good but its in my nature to criticized so I did because Mr. Dennard asked for it. I told him that he should have ask the women "What would it take for them to get off the streets and off drugs" and what type of mediation have they tried. He said he actually asked the women those questions but lack of time. I told him he should shortened Amanda's timeline. He said I was hating. but I was being serious.

Stephens Fashions Retail Postcards

Stephens Fashions retail postcards.

She wanted a postcard that she can use as a mail out and flyer. The postcard serves two of her businesses, her retail outlet and restaurant. Both sides have coupon.

Full color on one side and black and white on the other side. So far the coupon is designed for half page and 4x6 postcards.

Invitation Postcards

This is what I've done today. An invitation postcard for Dianne Hollis. I think I spelled her name right. Anyway it full color, double sided, and 4x6. Hopefully she likes it. I've made all the necessary correction for Macon Workforce Developent 4 page newsletter.

More Bucks Business Cafe

Marilyn called today. She's the owner of http://www.morebucksbusinesscafe.com/. She's one of my client. But I like her because she pays me $20 per banner ads, I create for her website. She goes out there and sell advertisement for her website. Her website underwent a whole lot of editting. Because she didn't know what she really wanted or she wanted too much. But she cause me to learn a lot.

for example:
I was designing her banner with Adobe Photoshop and then I would use Swish Zone to make them rotate. The problem was, she started having more and more banners. and I was afraid that the . swf or flash file was going to be too big. So I went to google and search for a java script for rotating banner. and WALAH!!!! I found one. and it wasn't too technical to update. Since it hasn't been too long since I ate at Panera Bread... I'm not eating lunch just yet or I might not eat lunch at all. I'm trying to keep my figure... and I mean my wallet size figure. I'm on budget. Rent is coming soon.

But I wanted to support my favorite hang out. They let me stay as long as I want and plus they have all these plugs inside the cafe, just incase your lapt top needed charging.

The only place you can get this ... fruit and berries yogart... I don't know what they call it. It doesn't even have a label.... It looks like they make it from scratch. For $2.75 you can a nice size cup of yogart comes with blue berries, raspberries, straberries, and topping of sweet brown sugar granola and almonds.

Panera Bread

I've been in the house all week. and can't seem to get anywork done. So I'm here this morning at 9:44 am at Panera bread on Tom Hill Sr. Blvd. in Macon, Georgia.

and for the first time I'm trying their infamous egg, cheese, and bacon morning sandwich. Suprisingly it is good. The Bread is not heavy and actually light and kindah crispy. Egg looks all natural and the bacon is perfectly cooked.

After my breakfast and unlimited refill of their perfectly balance coffee, I'm going to work on the Macon Workforce Development newsletter and SOS brochure.

I've been thinking about creating a project of mind. I'm thinking about, not eating at the same place twice. It's just kinda hard because Macon doesn't have a lot of variety of restaurant you can eat at. and Most of the time the reason why I'm headed to a restaurant is to sit down and do work. It's hard to find a place for us freelance graphic artist who work on the road or would like to work on the road, to find a great place to eat and work. Anyway I'm going to give it a try. and IF ANYONE OUT THERE IS WILLING TO GIVE ME A VAN SO I CAN FINALLY LEAVE MACON. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT. PLEASE HELP!

I'm waiting for him to come home

I'm at Tracey still and it 1:57 am and he's not home yet. He didn't tell me where he was going or who he was going with. All I know is he's going with his ex' mother. Sometimes I ask myself why do I put up with him.

How to make money online

Okay, I've been all over the internet all night and on you tube looking for ways to make money online. and I watched this guy on you tube talking about google adsense. I'm going to try it to see if it works. I've told my daughter to try it also.

But they haven't approved me yet. I guess I'll find out in a few days if I qualify because I don't have a website just yet.

Let se if this guy is right about blogging. I don't know what to blogg about but I do have plenty to say. I guess I better get to typing. Because I think I'm going to like google adsense.

Joshua Cup of Macon

Something gotta change.
I got work. But I don't feel like doing it.
I need a major account. Everyone keeps telling me I should charge more for my web design. But I live in Middle Georgia. Majority of the business owners around here doesn't believe in the power of website yet. But I know I have to keep thinking positive. THINKING POSITIVE :)

Sometimes I wonder what is the best city for a graphic artist to live in.

• The city's cost of living has to be affordable.... right
• Plenty of small business owners ... right
• Plenty of wifi cafe, and wifi restaurants ... right

and you know, I have a friend that lives in Athens, GA and I like the fact that they offer FREE wi-fi at her apartment complex... that will be nice...

and I also heard that the city of San Diego has free wifi all over.. is that true?

There's only one place I like to go and do some work here in Macon, Georgia... and that is JOSHUA CUP... Their first couple of years they offered FREE WiFi and ofcourse coffee and sweet snacks and stuff. I like their mocha.

Joshua Cup - is located downtown Macon, across the street from the Washington Library, and Across the street for Washington Park, which isn't that big but everyone seems to like the park. I see a lots of wedding and prom picture day there. Anyway, Joshua Cup is not what it use to be. I mean for the longest, I wished for them to offer hot and cold sandwiches... Because I would literally sit there for hours and they would only offer coffee and cakes.

But then my wish came true. They started offering hot and cold sandwiches. The sandwiches are great. I've tried their Ruben sandwiches... I was hooked on the damn sandwich, then my daughter and I started sharing the Italian sandwich. We were hooked on the sandwich.

But the problem is not the sandwiches, now, it is the people who comes there and eat and make so much nose and takes up all the spaces. I'm pretty sure the business owner is lovin' it but what about us freelance graphic artist. Who can't afford to have a store front or a nice apartment to bring clients in. What about us!!!!!

Joshua cup has become so noisy at times I can't hear my self think. I can't conduct business over the phone or have a conference call with skype because of all the background noise.

There goes my FREE office space. It was such a great place to meet clients and just have coffee alone with coffee cakes. But unfortunately, Macon doesn't offer one of freelance business owners such as my self, affordability to have an office space.

So now I'm embarking upon a new beginning, a transition to city which hasn't been categories as the perfect city for a graphic artist like me.

Oh and by the way, is anybody looking for a graphic artist anywhere? I'm willing to relocate.
